Inner Landscapes II: Postures of the Mind

A quiet moment where something arrives, unformed, unspoken, waiting to be understood.

A quiet, almost sacred instant when an idea, a feeling or a truth touches down. He sits slightly folded, head resting on his hand, not burdened but occupied, making space for what has come. A small bird perches just behind him, close enough to be felt but not yet merged with him: still other. A halo-like shape behind his head gives the moment a subtle illumination. It arrives the way a still, small voice does, not overwhelming or demanding, simply present, and it is up to him whether to receive it, sit with it or let it pass.
